We are proud and honored that the Split City Council, on May 4, 2020, at its 35th session, decided that the traditional awards of City of Split should be given to two members of the Cochrane Croatia.

This year Cochrane Croatia decided to do something different for its annual team-building event and took up the challenge of preparing a meal for 36 homeless people in Split.

At the invitation of Dr. Patrick Vankrunkelsven from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium (La Katholieke Universiteit Leuven), mr. sc. Jasna Karačić, head of the UNESCO Department for Patients' Rights and a member of Cochrane Croatia, visited the Belgian Center for Evidence-Based Medicine and the Belgian Cochrane centre.

In May 2020, Cochrane Sweden organised a one week, 40-hour online training course attracting 26 doctoral students and Cochranites from all around the world. This training event was co-organised with the support of Cochrane Nordic, Cochrane Norway, Cochrane Sustainable Health Care and the Faculty of Medicine of Lund University.

A multidisciplinary team of experts gathered around the Informed Health Choices project (available at: https://www.informedhealthchoices.org) has developed a framework for critical thinking about health claims and making treatment decisions. The project is intended for students in primary and secondary schools, but also contains materials for understanding health claims in the general population. For students, the project provides opportunities for academic advancement and encouraging a broader mindset.

Due to the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the epidemiological measures in force, it was decided that the 12th Croatian Cochrane Symposium, which was to be held on June 25, will be postponed to September 3, 2020.
