Cochrane Croatia celebrates the first World Evidence-based Healthcare (EBHC) Day on Tuesday 20th October 2020

What is World EBHC day?

It is a global initiative that raises awareness of the need for better evidence to inform healthcare policy, practice and decision making in order to improve health outcomes globally. This year’s theme is ‘From Evidence to Impact’.

What are the aims of World EBHC Day?

educate a broad audience about the importance of evidence-based healthcare and the need for better evidence to inform health policy and practice

be bold in our thinking, encouraging debate and discussion amongst the global evidence community on advancements in evidence-based healthcare

highlight the successes, challenges and experiences of the global evidence community in furthering the science and practice of evidence-based healthcare

celebrate impact, of researchers, academics, students, clinicians, consumers, patients and other agents of change who are driving improvements in the quality and outcomes of healthcare globally

To celebrate this event Cochrane Croatia will be holding two events:

A press conference

The media have been invited to attend a press conference on the inaugural World Evidence-based Healthcare Day, to be held at the University of Split School of Medicine on Tuesday 20th October 2020, from 13:50 – 14:50. Members of Cochrane Croatia, and their partners, will present how evidence impacts lives. 

Invitation to share impact stories

Cochrane Croatia has invited its partner organisations to share their stories on how evidence has impacted their lives. Cochrane Croatia has 20 partner organisations, including both professional and consumer organisations. All contributors will receive a gift and their stories will be published on social media.
