A contract was signed between the Cochrane Croatia, the School of Medicine in Split and the Myeloma CRO (Association to help patients with multiple myeloma). Thus, the Mijelom CRO association became the 22nd partner organization of Cochrane Croatia ! We are looking forward to our new partner and joint cooperation.

Tečaj neće imati kotizacije i besplatan je za liječnike svih specijalnosti.

University of Split held the annual ceremony of the awards for science on Thursday, March 24th 2022. Among the three teachers from the Medical School in Split three awarded in the field of biomedicine and health is assistant professor Tina Poklepović Peričić, member of Cochrane Croatia, and until recently the co-director of our Cochrane center. Chancelor of the University of Split, professor Dragan Ljutić congratulated and thanked the awarded scientists because their work contributes to the recognition and reputation of the University of Split.

After seven years at the helm of Cochrane Croatia, assistant professor Tina Poklepović Peričić resigned from her position of co-director, thus opening the door to new ideas and perspectives that will lead this Cochrane entity in the future.

In honor of the 2nd World Evidence-Based Healthcare Day on October 20, 2021, members of Cochrane Croatia visited several elementary schools in Split to highlight the importance of appraising the quality of health-related information in an era of fake or potentially harmful information.

From 13 to 17 September, assistant professor Martina Mavrinac, psychologist and head of the Department of Medical Informatics at the University of Rijeka School of Medicine, visited Cochrane Croatia.The purpose of the visit was to meet Martina with members and activities of the Croatian Cochrane Center and instruct her in the work and organization of Cochrane, as the future head of the branch of Cochrane Croatia at the University of Rijeka School of Medicine.

On a sunny, warm Saturday morning on September 11, 2021, a group of eager hikers was ready to ascend Mount Mosor, a 1,339-meter mountain 20 kilometers from Split on the Adriatic coast in Croatia. I had the pleasure of being a part of this group organized by Sonja Grgat and Ivana Frapporti, the founders of Caspera (https://www.caspera-split.com/), a non-profit breast carcinoma support group. Sonja and Ivana planned the adventurous hike for their friends and families, and as their organization supports Cochrane Croatia, we were invited to join the hike as well.

Cochrane Croatia’s 13th ‘Croatian Cochrane Symposium’ (CroCoS) was held on 8th June 2021, despite the pandemic. Undeterred, Cochrane Croatia’s members put together a stellar array of speakers and topics to entice even the most fatigued online conference-goers.
