This summer Cochrane Croatia took part in the Cochrane International Mobility Programme and hosted a brilliant, smart and hardworking young colleague, Sarah Tanveer, one of the Cochrane’s 30 under 30 (https://www.cochrane.org/news/30-under-30-sarah-tanveer).This was an encouraging experience for us all, and spending time with Sarah, exchanging experiences, teaching and working with her was a true refreshment to our Centre.

The workshop “Assessing Risk of Bias in Randomised trials: RoB2” was held on Thursday, June 27th, 2019 at the University of Split School of Medicine.

On Thursday, June 27, the second team building event was held for members of Cochrane Croatia.Due to the high heat, members of Cochrane Croatia decided to cool along the river Žrnovnica, near the old mill in Žrnovnica. There, along with our guests, Tianjing Li, Jelena Savović and Sarah Tanveer from Cochrane, we played badminton, swung on swings, dipped our feet in the river, and strolled and enjoyed the beautiful nature.

Cochrane Croatia, in cooperation with the Dental School in Zagreb and thanks to the genearous support from the City of Zagreb, organised the second Evidence Based Dental Medicine training event in Zagreb. It was our honour and great pleasure that prof. Gerd Antes and prof.

It is our great pleasure to inform you about the maintenance of the workshop "Assessing risk of bias in randomized trials: ROB2", which will be held on June 27, 2019 at the School of Medicine in Split, starting at 9 o'clock. 

For two years, volunteers of Cochrane Croatia have been translating Cochrane's podcasts on various aspects of health, with the aim of promoting medicine based on reliable evidence. So far, a hundred Cochrane voice recordings have been translated and recorded and released to the public via the Internet and radio with the assistance of our associates, and with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education.

Congratulations to Dalibora Behmen, MA, Prof. Ana Marušić and Prof. Livia Puljak on the publication of the work describing the characteristics and motivation of volunteers participating in the project of translation of Cochrane's plain language summaries. 

The 8th May was a hub of excitement at the University of Split School of Medicine as members of Cochrane Croatia were getting ready to host their 11th Annual Croatian Cochrane Symposium. This year’s CroCoS was co-organised with the Social Sciences and Humanities Faculty of the University of Split, represented by Assist. Prof. Darko Hren.
