Cochrane Croatia awarded for translation project

The long-standing effort of translating Cochrane evidence from members and supporters of Cochrane Croatia and Cochrane BiH has been recognized by Central Cochrane with the recent announcement that it will financially support the project of translating Cochrane evidence into Croatian for the next three-year period (2020 to 2022).

Cochrane Croatia began translating Cochrane evidence in 2013 as part of the Ministry of Science and Education's program for popularizing science, beginning with translating plain language summaries of Cochrane systematic reviews and continuing to translate Cochrane's podcasts and blogshots. To date, almost three thousand plain language summaries have been translated, over 150 podcasts and 70 blogshots. The translations are done by volunteer health professionals as well as students from various studies.

The proceeds will be invested in the editing and publication of numerous translated plain language summaries and in promoting existing translated Cochrane evidence. If you would like to join this project, please contact cochrane_croatia@mefst.hr or access via this link.
