Director of Cochrane Bosnia and Herzegovina, doc. dr. sc. Filipa Markotić (Center for Clinical Pharmacology), and doc. dr. sc. Svjetlana Grgić (Hospital for Infectious Diseases) from SKB Mostar and School of Medicine, Mostar, attended successful eduction of evidence-based medicine and Cochrane methodology in Copenhagen Trial Unit (CTU), Rigshospitalet, the Copenhagen University Hospital in Denmark, in November 2018.
The Copenhagen Trial Unit (CTU) in Denmark is an organizational unit that deals with all aspects and phases of clinical trials for all medical specialties. The CTU is also the headquarter of the Cochrane Hepato-Biliary Group (CHBG) - one of 53 global co-operation groups within Cochrane Collaboration, and the CHBG leader is prof. Christian Gluud. The CTU is also the headquarter of the Denmark Network for Clinical Research (DCRIN), Denmark's Coordination Center of the Nordic Trial Alliance (NTA) and Denmark's Coordination Center of the European Network of Clinical Research Infrastructures (ECRIN). They published more than 500 protocols for systematic reviews and more than 300 systematic reviews inside and outside of Cochrane, and have participated in more than 130 randomized clinical trials.
During their stay in Copenhagen, doc. dr. sc. Filipa Markotić and doc. dr. sc. Svjetlana Grgić achieved contacts that will enable them to continue cooperation with the great centers of evidence-based medicine, which is to Cochrane BH, in terms of further development, extremely important.
