On April 26, an agreement was signed between Cochrane Croatia, the University of Split School of Medicine and the Association of women suffering from and treated for cancer 'Caspera'. Thus, the Caspera became the 21st partner organization of Cochrane Croatia, and also the ninth patient association.
Cochrane Croatia encourages partnerships with patient associations and healthcare organizations. Partner organizations work with Cochrane Croatia, jointly promote Cochrane's activities and provide strategic advice to Cochrane Croatia. The partners form an important interest group of Cochrane and through their engagement can greatly contribute to the development of evidence-based medicine. Together with our partners, we create a better future for patients and ensure health decisions based on the latest and highest quality evidence, in the form of Cochrane’s systematic reviews.
The Caspera Association was founded in 2020 with the goal of helping all women who have encountered or will encounter a cancer diagnosis. The association has forty-one members and is located in Split at the address: Trg Franje Tuđmana 3/1. PThe planned projects are to support sick women, first of all in the psychological sense, and then in the sense of cooperation with experts (nutritionists, oncologists, dermatologists, kinesiologists). In addition, they work intensively to raise awareness about prevention and to raise public awareness about the life of a sick woman, through campaigns through social networks and local and national media. We look forward to working with members of the Caspera Association. Together we are smarter and more efficient! Welcome to the Cochrane collaboration team!
